DETROIT, Michigan - General Motors Corporation has brought a taste of the Motor City to the new Edward H. McNamara terminal at Detroit's Metro Airport. 'The GM Collection' retail store offers traveling consumers an opportunity to purchase an array of products including die-cast models, radio control toys, plastic model kits, watches, signs, giftware and apparel.
"Since Detroit is well known as the Motor City, we couldn't think of a better location to open a store that features collectables and gift items, than the new McNamara terminal at Detroit Metro", said Rich Patterson, assistant manager of trademark licensing at GM. "Travelers have told us that they really appreciate the wide selection of merchandise and the ease of finding something they can take home."
Opened on February 24, 2002, The GM Collection shop carries only GM licensed merchandise and also features on display high profile production, specialty and concept vehicles.
