Isuzu Expands Agreement with Remarketing Services of America Unit of Fiserv to Include All SUV Remarketing

    AMHERST, N.Y.--May 20, 2002--Isuzu Motors Acceptance Corporation has expanded its agreement with Remarketing Services of America, Inc. (RSA) to include proactively managing all sport-utility vehicle remarketing in the vehicle manufacturer's portfolio.
    Isuzu earlier had selected RSA to handle lease maturity management and customer retention for its entire portfolio.

    RSA's remarketing program for Isuzu will include titles management, auction facilitation, transport coordination, expense reconciliation and auction representation, in addition to other Isuzu-specific services, for the Isuzu Rodeo, Trooper, Amigo, Axiom and Hombre SUVs.
    To benchmark auction and distribution channel performance, RSA will use its National Quality Control Program. Created by RSA in 1997, the program tracks effectiveness of vehicle auctions nationally, using a strict performance rating system that includes three diverse categories: sales effectiveness, operational effectiveness and on-site preparation. Auctions that score high in the ratings are recognized annually and are generally rewarded with a greater share of RSA's vehicle consignments, encouraging improved performance and enhanced sales effectiveness.
    Isuzu also will employ RSA's dedicated Center for Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR), which provides enhanced planning, forecasting and execution of lease maturity management and vehicle remarketing strategies, campaigns and programs. CAAR's analysis of the results of millions of transactions at auctions and distribution networks helps to ensure proper future pricing.
    Analysis of client-specific off-lease purchase and pricing allows RSA and the client to design, model and implement lease-end sales promotions and campaigns that effectively and efficiently maximize financial returns for Isuzu.
