Novair Media and Lincoln in Cruise Industry Marketing Venture

MIAMI, May 20 -- Novair Media, a diversified media company based in Miami, Florida, has announced the signing of Lincoln, the luxury automobile maker, as a launch client on its SeaTV television network. The two companies will work together to develop a fully integrated marketing program for Lincoln. The partnership will include advertising time on SeaTV, as well as a variety of innovative marketing concepts to introduce cruise vacationers to Lincoln's automotive products, such as the 2003 Lincoln Town Car. Young & Rubicam is the agency of record managing the partnership on behalf of Lincoln.

The SeaTV television network, which will debut in the summer of 2002, will provide cruise passengers with the best in television entertainment. Many of the world's leading cruise lines have signed up for the SeaTV network, which will reach millions of cruise passengers every year.

In 2002, over 7 million people in North America will take a cruise vacation. According to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the industry trade group, the mean household income of cruise passengers is $79,000 and the mean age is 50. Cruise passengers are avid consumers of a wide variety of products and services, from luxury automobiles and home furnishings, to financial services. SeaTV will provide a targeted, television- based platform for reaching this audience.

In addition to offering advertisers the opportunity to reach this audience through television, Novair Media will work with its largest clients to develop fully integrated marketing programs targeting cruise passengers before, during and after their vacation. These programs may include direct mail campaigns, product sampling or distribution, product displays, sweepstakes and other techniques for making an impression on consumers. Under the terms of their agreement, Lincoln and Novair will explore all of these options.

"Lincoln provides the best in automotive products to discerning, affluent consumers," notes David Gould, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Novair Media. "SeaTV provides the best in television entertainment to discerning, affluent cruise vacationers. It's a match made in marketing heaven."

Lincoln, based in Irvine, Calif., is introducing a series of new products in 2002 that will essentially transform Lincoln's retail showrooms. Among the new vehicles slated for introduction throughout the year are the redesigned Navigator, the all-new Aviator SUV, a refreshed LS sports sedan and a totally redesigned Town Car. In addition, Lincoln continues to offer the Blackwood.
