WINTER WONDERLAND AT LEBANON VALLEY CLAIMS RACING PROGRAM

MAY 18, 2002
WEST LEBANON, NY - Who would ever think that a week before the traditional
start of summer three inches of snow on the speedway bleachers would claim
the May 18th racing program.
The good folks from Anderson Equipment and T-Net, Taconic Technologies
were all pumped up to sponsor the night's events. Twin features for the
Modified, Sportsman and Pro Stock divisions were on tap along with the rest
of the normal racing card.
Racing will resume next Saturday May 25th as Lebanon Valley kicks off a
huge weekend of action celebrating Memorial Day. The racing on Saturday will
include a full night of Big Block Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks, Rookies
and Pure Stocks. The 358 Modifieds will open their seven race series also.
Gates will open at 5pm with racing at 6pm. Modified heats will begin at
7pm. General admission adults are just $10 with kids under 12 "Just a Buck".
The School Bus races will return on May 25th also. Last year as part of
the "Eve of Destruction" 13 full sized school busses diced and rubbed and
sped around the ½ mile high banks to put on one of the most exciting races
all year.
Monday May 27th will mark the return of the Pennzoil World of Outlaws
Sprint Cars presented by CARQUEST Auto Parts. These winged warriors always
put on a terrific show at Lebanon Valley. The Kinser's, Lasoski, Smith,
Haudenschild, Dollansky and Shaffer will all be headed to the West Lebanon
speed plant to try and tame the high speeds.
Big Block Modifieds will share the program with the sprinters and we
always have a few visiting Modified teams come to take on the regulars.
Plenty of tickets are available for the 2002 Pennzoil World of Outlaws
Sprint Cars presented by CARQUEST Auto Parts. All seats are reserved meaning
you get an assigned seat to sit in and they cost only $22 each. This is the
lowest priced Outlaw show in the country and is by far one of the best races.
Call the speedway office at 518-794-9606 or 518-794-9965 Monday through
Friday from 9am-5pm to get your tickets.
