NEW “SUPER SUNDAYS” SCHEDULE AT IRWINDALE DRAGSTRIP
ALSO: First Of Special Friday Night Events Announced For June 21

Irwindale, Calif. - - The drag strip at Irwindale is rapidly becoming THE place to race and recreate for car people on Thursday nights … Those weekly Test-and-Tune sessions are part of an evening of low pressure racing action that's designed to get drivers - - and fans - - all “spooled-up” for the big Sunday events at the brand-new NHRA-sanctioned dragstrip located on the Southwest corner of the Irwindale Speedway facility.  This is the new, updated official Sunday racing events, and supercedes and all previously published schedules.

Right now there are twelve special Sunday events lined up which will take place from May 19 through October 6.  And more major drag racing Super Sunday events are a distinct possibility to be added, so fans are advised to: “stay tuned”.

Here's the new list of upcoming Super Sundays at the Irwindale Dragstrip:

May 19: Summit Series #3
May 26: Junior Drags #2 of 3
June 16: Summit Series Race #4
June 23 Junior Drags Division 7 Championships
June 30: Junior Drags Series Finals
July 21: Summit Series Race #5
August 18: Summit Series Race #6
August 25: DUB Import Drags/Car Show
September: 8 hotVWs Drag Day!
September 15: Summit Series Finals
September 29: Junior Drags
October 6:  DUB Import Drags/Car Show
Competitors and fans should also note that the facility's first Friday night drag racing event, the Irwindale Street Legal Import Racing Challenge will go off on June 21st.  Top import drivers from all over southern California will be on hand that night taking their shots at the clock and at each other … The action should be fast, furious, and FUN!
