Qualifying Notes for Race 2 at Mosport

5:10 PM – Cars roll on to pitlane for the 30-minute qualifying session for
Race 2.
5:11 PM – No. 3 Sellers will be looking to capture his second pole position
of the weekend, after capturing the pole for race 1 in morning qualifying.
5:13 PM – It has become slightly overcast and cooler than morning
qualifying.
5:15 PM – Early in the session the top-three are No. 5 Imery, No. 3 Sellers
and No. 19 Urlin.
5:16 PM – The top-five have all posted laps in the 1:19 range.
5:17 PM – No. 3 becomes first car to post a lap of 1:18.
5:18 PM – Top-five is now No. 3, No. 5, No. 86 Brumbaugh, No. 33 Dyer and
No. 19.
5:18 PM – BLACK, for No. 46 Schiavo. No. 46 made hard impact with the wall
in turn nine. The driver has exited the car.
5:21 PM – Fast lap currently is 1:18.095.
5:24 PM – Qualifying restarts with 15 minutes remaining in the session.
5:27 PM – No. 32 Aschenbach and No. 34 Wilkins both join qualifying, having
made repairs after accidents in qualifying session for race 1.
5:28 PM – No. 16 Perona partially spins in turn nine, but continues.
5:29 PM – No. 2 Jones moves into fourth position.
5:31 PM – BLACK, for No. 86, who’s gone off course in turn nine.
5:34 PM – Current top-five is No. 3, No. 5, No. 86, No. 2 and No. 33.
5:37 PM – Field given one-minute signal to restart of qualifying.
5:37 PM – Four minutes remain in the session.
5:40 PM – One minute remaining in qualifying and the top-five is No. 3, No.
5, 86, No. 7 Massari and No. 2.
5:42 PM – CHECKERED, No. 3 Sellers captures his second pole position of the
weekend with a lap of 1:17. 824. Completing the top-three is No. 5 Imery and
No. 86 Brumbaugh. No. 31 Meeks is top ACC qualifier.
