Ballard Receives $2 Million Order From Nissan for Fuel Cells
VANCOUVER, British Columbia--May 14, 2002-- Ballard Power Systems announced today it has received a $2 million order from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. for Mark 902 fuel cell modules and support services, for delivery in 2002. The Mark 902 fuel cell module, introduced in October 2001, establishes a new standard of performance by optimizing lower cost, design for volume manufacture, reliability, power density and compatibility with customer system requirements."This order continues the long-standing relationship between Ballard and Nissan," said Andreas Truckenbrodt, Vice President of Ballard's Transportation Division. "Ballard's Mark 902 fuel cell modules will enable Nissan to advance their fuel cell vehicle development efforts.
