Telcontar and Sensoria Announce Strategic Partnership for Innovative LBS Solutions

    DETROIT--May 14, 2002--

Sensoria, BSQUARE and Telcontar Demonstrate End-to-End Telematics Solution at Auto Interiors Show in Detroit May 14-15

Telcontar today announced that Sensoria Corporation, a leading provider of in-vehicle, standards-based telematics, has committed to supporting the Telcontar Drill Down Server(TM) 2.5. The company will also support on-board telematics applications that utilize the Drill Down Server and team with Telcontar for specific market opportunities. Sensoria will be demonstrating a complete end-to end-telematics solution featuring Telcontar's DDS 2.5 server and the BSQUARE InfoGation group's MobileGuide navigation application software at the Auto Interiors show this week.
"Telematics service providers are looking for vendors that offer complete solutions with measurable consumer benefits as well as a solid return on investment to business buyers. This is becoming more important as telematics devices graduate from stand alone in-vehicle systems to wireless devices that combine maps with real time traffic and weather information," said Eric Carlson, president and CEO of Telcontar. "Sensoria has a proven track record in this area, and Telcontar is excited to have an opportunity to work with them on this solution."
"Consumers demand a wide range of services to buy into the telematics vision. The way to cost-effectively deliver these services to the vehicle is through distributed applications such as BSQUARE InfoGation's MobileGuide and server-based technologies like the Drill Down Server 2.5," said Brian Davis, Vice President of Marketing of Sensoria. "These are exactly the types of applications we envisioned when creating our advanced telematics platform."
Telcontar's Drill Down Server 2.5 enables a variety of location-based services including: fleet and personal tracking; trip planning, navigation, and real-time traffic information; emergency roadside assistance; concierge and directory services. The company's customers include Yahoo!, Vicinity, Wingcast, and ATX Technologies.
