Cadillac and OnStar Offer Six-Months "Directions & Connections" Service At No Charge on Certified Pre-Owned Cadillacs

TROY, Mich. - A new offer has emerged in Cadillac showrooms nationally. Customers who take delivery of a certified pre-owned Cadillac through a Cadillac certified pre-owned dealership can now receive six months of complimentary OnStar Directions & Connections service and 30 OnStar Personal Calling* minutes at no extra charge.

As the number of OnStar equipped vehicles in the market grows, more and more pre-owned vehicles will begin to switch hands, providing second and third owners the opportunity to use OnStar.

In March, OnStar piloted the complimentary service in Washington D.C. to qualified Cadillac certified pre-owned customers. Customers responded favorably and quickly took advantage of the offer.

"Cadillac introduced the first factory-installed OnStar system to the world, and together -- Cadillac and OnStar -- helped create a safer and more secure driving experience," said Mark LaNeve, Cadillac general manager. "We offer customers of Cadillac certified pre-owned vehicles that same peace of mind."

"Monthly, OnStar responds to about 200,000 routing calls, 14,250 roadside dispatches, 15,000 door unlocks, 500 air bag deployments and 375 stolen vehicle requests," said Tony DiSalle, vice president of OnStar Sales and Services Marketing. "Now Cadillac certified pre-owned customers will have access to these same benefits."

"OnStar Directions & Connections is a unique offer in a growing and increasingly more important segment of the automotive industry," said DiSalle. Beyond OnStar's core safety services, Directions & Connections offers route support and convenience services through OnStar advisors who can help customers with everything from directions to a nearby gas station, to suggesting a restaurant, or making hotel reservations.
