ATVA ANNOUNCES 2002 SHORT-TRACK RACING SERIES
PICKERINGTON, OHIO -- The All-Terrain Vehicle Association (ATVA) has announced
the schedule for its 2002 ATVA Short Track National Series: July 12 at Dixieland
Speedway in Elizabeth City, North Carolina; August 9 at Blue Grass Speedway in
Bardstown, Kentucky; and August 23 at Auto Parts Speedway in Benton, Missouri.
The brand-new series will feature ten classes, including five Open classes and
two Youth classes, and is open to pro, pro-am, and amateur competitors.
"ATV racers have been asking us to put together a top-notch short-track series,
and we're pleased to announce this three-round inaugural season," said Doug
Morris, the ATVA's Director.
The ATVA Short Track National Series joins the AMA Maxxis Grand National MX & TT
Series and the AMA Grand National Cross Country Series on the ATVA's 2002 racing
calendar. Each round of the 2002 ATVA Short Track National Series will take
place on the Friday preceding the Saturday-Sunday rounds of an AMA Maxxis Grand
National TT Series event.
