AKRON, Ohio--May 10, 2002--Roadway Express, Inc., announced today it is listed in the ninth annual IDG's Computerworld Best Places to Work in IT for 2002, the third consecutive year for the motor carrier.The Best Places to Work list is an annual ranking of the best work environments in the U.S. for Information Technology (IT) workers. Computerworld, the newspaper for IT leaders, conducted a 75-question survey to identify the 100 best places to work for IT professionals. To compile the lists, Computerworld measured companies in several categories, including diversity, training, career development, benefits, retention, average salary increases and percentage of staff promoted. In addition, information was collected on each organization's hot projects, the percentage of women and minority employees on staff and in IT management positions, mentoring and benefits, ranging from elder care and childcare to flextime and stock options.
