Ford 2002 Annual Meeting Voting Results

IRVINE, Calif., May 9 A total of 393 people attended the 47th annual meeting of Ford Motor Company shareholders today at The Premier Automotive Group North American Headquarters.

Preliminary voting results indicate that a total of 1,515,933,838 shares of common stock and 70,743,472 shares of Class B stock were represented at the annual meeting in person or by proxy. These shares represent 92.34 percent of the votes that could be cast.

Each director received at least 2,441,794,991 votes, or 91.4 percent of the votes cast at the meeting (Proposal 1 in the proxy statement).

Votes on other Proposals:

Proposal 2. Relating to the approval of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as Ford Motor Company's independent public accountants for 2002.

  • For 97.36 percent
  • Against 2.12 percent
  • Abstain 0.52 percent

Proposal 3. Relating to an amendment to the Company's 1998 Long-Term Incentive Plan.
