Johnson Controls Recognized by General Motors as a 2001 Supplier of the Year
PLYMOUTH, Mich., May 9 -- Johnson Controls, Inc., a leading global supplier of automotive interior systems and batteries was named as a General Motors Supplier of the Year for its superior performance in quality, service, technology and price.
The award was presented to officials from Johnson Controls during a ceremony held on Saturday, April 27 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The company has gained such customer recognition for seven consecutive years, and has been named among GM's top suppliers eight times overall.

The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Award-winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year, General Motors honored 91 suppliers from 18 countries for their excellence throughout 2001.
