UNOVA Names Larry D. Yost to Board of Directors

    WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--May 8, 2002--UNOVA, Inc. (www.unova.com), today announced that Larry D. Yost will join its board of directors.
    Yost, 63, is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of ArvinMeritor, Inc. , a position he has held since the company's July 2000 merger with Meritor, Inc. Yost was Meritor's chairman and CEO since May 1997.
    Prior to Meritor, Yost served as president, Heavy Vehicle Systems of Rockwell, Inc. and senior vice president and president, Operations, of Allen-Bradley, a subsidiary of Rockwell.
    In addition to his work at ArvinMeritor, Yost serves on the board of directors for Kennametal Inc., the National Association of Manufacturers, the National Alliance of Business, the Economic Club of Detroit, the Automotive Hall of Fame, Detroit Renaissance, United Way Community Services and the American Trucking Association Foundation.
    In September 2001, Yost was named CEO of the Year by Automation Alley, a consortium of 350 companies based in Southeastern Michigan that promotes high-tech businesses in the region.
