Larry Gould Receives PRO Council Lifetime Achievement Award

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (May 7, 2002) - The Professional Restylers
Organization (PRO), a SEMA council, has presented Larry Gould, president
of The Gould Group, Chicago, with the Jim Borre' Lifetime Achievement
Award. The award was announced on April 6 during the 8th Annual PRO
Industry Awards Reception, which was held in conjunction with the SEMA
Spring Expo in Rosemont, Ill.

The award, recently renamed to honor the late PRO chairman Jim
Borre', was sponsored this year by WAAG, a SEMA manufacturer member
located in Van Nuys, Calif. The award is presented annually to an
outstanding individual whose creativity, dignity, integrity,
industriousness and accomplishments on a national level have enhanced the
stature of the automotive restyling industry while significantly
contributing to the industry's growth and professionalism.

Gould, whose career spans more than five decades, has been an active
member of the PRO council since its inception. He is currently serving
his third and final term as a member of the council's Select Committee.

PRO also honored two more individuals for their contributions to the
industry. Ken Pelt, president of Custom Vehicle Supply, Wauwatosa, Wisc.,
was named Truck Accessory Specialist of the Year. Dave Emerson, president
of Uni-Sun Inc., Lombard, Ill., was the recipient of the PRO Restyler of
the Year Award. Westin Automotive Products Inc., Irwindale, Calif.,
sponsored the Truck Accessory Specialist of the Year award, and American
Sunroofs Inalfa, Brighton, Mich., sponsored the PRO Restyler of the Year
Award.

Richard Sherman, PRO chairman and president of Automotive Enterprises,
Brighton, Mich., announced the awards, saying, "Every industry has its
share of exceptional men and women who have established new benchmarks
and whose outstanding contributions have marked them as true leaders.
This year's honorees exemplify these traits, and the awards are richly
deserved."

The Professional Restylers Organization became a SEMA committee in 1991
and a council in 1993. PRO's primary objectives are to support the
restyling industry's efforts to achieve the highest level of
professionalism throughout all segments of the industry and to foster
heightened awareness of and confidence in the industry's products and
services. Its members have been instrumental in the development of the
SEMA Installer Certification Program and in the creation of programs
designed to build car dealer and OEM awareness of the benefits of vehicle
accessorization. For more information about PRO, contact Ellen McKoy,
