Honda Honors Valeo Engine Cooling for Quality, Delivery Performance

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 7 -- Valeo Engine Cooling was honored by Honda for flawless quality and delivery performance during 2001 at the recent Annual Honda Supplier Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Valeo was one of only 14 suppliers among more than 450 candidates to earn double awards. Valeo earned the double award for quality and delivery by maintaining 0 parts- per-million performance for the 12-month period. It is the second time in three years that Valeo Engine Cooling has been a double award winner and the third consecutive year the organization has been honored by Honda for its Quality.

"We're very gratified to once again earn recognition from Honda for helping them produce outstanding vehicles," said Robert P. Strazzella, Valeo group vice president - North America. "It's a superior accomplishment and a tribute to the entire team at Valeo Engine Cooling for having maintained 0 ppm on the Honda radiator module assembly for 36 consecutive months," he added.

Valeo has been supplying the radiator module assembly since August 1997, beginning with the '98 model Accord 4-cylinder. Valeo is preparing for the launch of the 2003 Accord this August.

Receiving the awards for Valeo were Strazzella; Dave Slaman, division general manager; Taka Taguchi, program manager; and Eric Bowman, supervisor, Honda line.
