Independent Truck Stops Secure TripPak Services

NASHVILLE, TN--(INTERNET WIRE)--May 7, 2002 -- Professional Transportation Partners, LLC ("PTP") representing over 165 independent truck stop members nationwide has exclusively endorsed TripPak EXPRESS and TripPak ONLINE transportation document management services through an agreement with parent company, TMI of Brentwood, Tennessee. Participating facilities will have an expanded opportunity to get a TripPak EXPRESS drop box placement and PTP has also exclusively endorsed TripPak ONLINE, the only outsource infrastructure provider (OIP) offering overnight scanning and fully integrated workflow software to trucking companies of all sizes.

PTP has worked with TripPak to create a program that expands drop box availability for PTP locations - helping secure a competitive advantage and satisfy a real demand in the market. "TripPak certainly brings drivers into our stops," explained James Ladd, General Manager of the Big Easy Travel Center, the first PTP location to sign up under the new program. "TripPak gave us a long term commitment to keep the Drop Box we had at the Mardi Gras, our other truck stop, and helped us get a new box for the Big Easy Truck Stop, where drivers are asking about it every day."

With over 1,100 drop box locations in truck stops nationwide, such ubiquitous coverage is critical to the 700 fleet clients and major carriers using TripPak ONLINE. "We are committed to the TripPak ONLINE infrastructure because it's a proven, sustainable and repeatable process," explained Dave Temple, CFO of May Trucking Company in Salem Oregon. "We want our drivers to stop once where we fuel, following a simple process, no more complex than sealing one envelope after each trip and with TripPak ONLINE, we don't lose control of our shipper and payroll documents."

"While Pilot's salesmen are out promoting their proprietary scanning dream, they are getting distracted and if they ever get it off the ground, their service will suffer when cashiers take their eye off the ball too," observed Burt Newman, President and CEO of PTP. "It is important that PTP stops stay focused and on task, delivering what their customers are really asking for. This is a real opportunity for PTP members to sell more fuel."

"TripPak ONLINE provides an end-to-end solution for imaging revenue documents, certainly the best possible avenue for a fleet to go paperless today. TMI stores and can retrieve if necessary any paper document, which shippers and fleets view as a key feature of the service. Commercial scanning operations work overnight to capture an image of every trip document to drive efficiencies for the fleet. TripPak ONLINE certifies electronic documents, as a witness to the fact that each watermarked image is an original document, captured in a process that delivers an image that shippers accept as standing in the place of the original. The images drive invoicing and payroll processes, as well as driver help desk and other functions within an optimized workflow.

"Absolutely nobody delivers higher quality images to a fleet manager's desk faster than we do," said Mark A. Cleveland, Executive Vice President of TMI. "Given pressures of time sensitive delivery, a never ending focus on safety and high expectations for drivers to go the extra mile for trucking company customers, it's no wonder drivers want simplicity. They want TripPak."
