KUKA Schweissanlagen GmbH Expands Its Use of Tecnomatix eMPower Solutions With Large Volume Software Purchase
NASHUA, N.H.--May 7, 2002--Leading German Automotive Line Builder Uses eMPower to Optimize Systems, Components and Services for Automatic Production
Tecnomatix Technologies, Ltd. , the leading provider of Manufacturing Process Management (MPM) software solutions, today announced that KUKA Schweissanlagen GmbH of Augsburg, Germany, has purchased eMPower(TM)CarBody software to add to its MPM implementation from Tecnomatix.
KUKA Schweissanlagen , a world-leading provider of engineering services and flexible production systems in the automotive industry, has been using Tecnomatix MPM solutions for more than 10 years. This most recent purchase of eMPower CarBody solutions will be integrated into a program to institute a continuous optimization procedure for the company's planning processes.
KUKA Schweissanlagen's eMPower CarBody purchase includes eM-Planner, eM-Weld and eM-Assembler applications, which will be used to support planning processes throughout the company. The first stage of this optimization program at KUKA Schweissanlagen will see the eMPower CarBody solutions implemented in systems engineering. The company plans over time to leverage eMPower technology for the complete process chain.
