Sears Point Hires Manager, Vendor Displays/Special Events

SONOMA,  Calif. (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - Brian Jackson has been named Manager, Vendor Displays and Special Events, at Sears Point Raceway, it was announced by raceway officials.

Jackson comes to Sears Point Raceway as the facility puts the finishing touches on a $50 million Modernization Plan that will transform the raceway into one of the premier motorsports and entertainment venues in the country. Some of the plans include sponsorable fan venues, permanent garage facilities, pedestrian tunnels, improved roadways to reduce traffic congestion and construction of scenic hillside terrace seats.

"Brian is a perfect fit for this new job. His ability to understand the client's needs and help them execute for maximum return will help us grow our business as we unveil the first ever NASCAR lifestyle villages and themed display pavilions," said Tim Schuldt, vice president, marketing and sales.

Jackson, 27, will be responsible for building vendor display business at Sears Point Raceway's eight major events during the season, as well as event-day execution of marketing programs and trade shows.

Prior to coming to Sears Point Raceway, Jackson worked for four years at Vivid Marketing, Inc., in Atlanta, where he managed event-based marketing programs for Pepsi-Cola and Mountain Dew. He was responsible for activating Pepsi's racing sponsorship with NASCAR Winston Cup drivers Jeff Gordon and Jeremy Mayfield, as well as serving as a liaison between Pepsi and its national bottling groups.

Jackson is a native of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County and received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California at Davis. He currently resides in Santa Rosa.
