VENICE, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--May 6, 2002--On Tuesday, April 15, just before taking the stage at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic to headline that night's Civic Tour concert, the rock band Incubus awarded a brand new 2002 Honda Civic Si to James Smith, Jr. of Lathrop, CA.
Through a contest on radio station Live 105 (KITS 105.3 FM), Smith was one of 54 Incubus fans who won the chance to randomly select a key and attempt to start the Incubus Civic Si, which was customized and autographed by band members Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger, Jose Pasillas, Kilmore and Dirk Lance. Of the station contestants, Smith's was the only key to actually start the engine, making him the grand-prize winner of the unique 2002 Honda Civic Si, painted with a wild koi fish design inspired by the artwork on Incubus' latest CD, "Morning View." While only one lucky fan could drive away with the Incubus Civic Si, Civic Tour awarded each of the 54 contestants with tickets to that night's concert and the opportunity to meet the band during the contest.
