Entigo and ARI Partner to Offer Aftermarket Service
Solution
Milwaukee, WI and Vienna, VA, May 6, 2002 - ARI Network Services, Inc.
(OTCBB:ARIS), a leading provider of catalog-enabled business solutions for
manufacturers, distributors and dealers, and Entigo(tm) Corporation, a
pioneer and an industry leader in B2B sell and service-side eBusiness
solutions, today announced a strategic marketing agreement to provide
manufacturers with a comprehensive content platform, real-time order
processing and warranty management system for the post-sales and support
services arena.
ARI and Entigo will integrate and jointly market ARI's EMPARTweb(tm),
EMPARTviewer(tm) and EMPARTpublisher(tm) software and publishing services
and Entigo Order(tm) and Entigo Warranty(tm) channel management software.
The partnership strengthens Entigo's catalog management functionality and
extends ARI's catalog and content publishing offerings to include real-time
order processing and warranty claims management. The integrated product
offering will allow manufacturers to provide more value and support to the
dealer and service network while increasing dealer effectiveness and
improving customer satisfaction.
The joint offering will allow manufacturers' field service technicians, who
electronically access illustrated parts catalogs, technical and procedural
information on content platforms powered by ARI, to order parts and register
warranty claims at the time the need for part is discovered and maintenance
work is being performed. Further, technicians will have real-time access to
pricing and inventory availability and can monitor the status of an order.
By providing service technicians with the ability to perform event-based
parts ordering and online warranty registration, manufacturers can reduce
order cycle time, decrease errors, speed the entire repair process and
accelerate customer service while building brand loyalty within the channel.
"We are very excited about the opportunity our alliance with ARI offers us,"
said Mark Demers, VP of marketing and business development at Entigo. "The
integration of ARI's products with ours allows us to provide manufacturers
with a complete system that simplifies and streamlines the process of taking
care of the customer during and after the sale," added Demers. "The
aftermarket service and parts industry is a multi-billion dollar industry.
Manufacturers are just now waking up to the fact that post-sales products
and services is both a high-stakes and high-margin business. Manufacturers
that fail to recognize and capitalize on this key business function risk
their brand as well as the future of their company."
"We are excited to have Entigo as a strategic partner," said Brian E.
Dearing, chairman and chief executive officer of ARI. "This partnership
will help us not only to solidify our position in the markets we currently
serve, but to help us enter new markets as well. Entigo's highly successful
warranty claims management system is a perfect match for our suite of
catalog products. Our products complement their overall solution when a
customer's product line consists of many complex goods." According to
Dearing, part of ARI's business strategy is to partner with eBusiness
solution providers who can sell ARI products, provide referrals to new
customers, incorporate ARI products into broader, integrated offerings and
extend and customize products for markets ARI is not in today.
