Bosch Showcases Innovative Technology At G-8 Energy Conference
DETROIT, May 2 -- Robert Bosch Corporation is exhibiting its latest energy-efficient advanced technologies at the G-8 Energy Conference, May 1-3 in Detroit. Bosch also is sponsoring the event hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, the State of Michigan and the City of Detroit.
In May of 2001, President Bush released the National Energy Policy, which included a directive for regular, institutional consultations with the energy leaders of other nations. The G-8 Energy meetings provide a forum for energy ministers to develop, promote and implement policies geared toward meeting global energy and environmental challenges.
As a producer of energy-efficient technologies, Bosch supports steps to improve future energy issues such as the G-8 Energy Conference. Facilitating discussions that help determine the future of the world's energy resources is a priority at Bosch. The company continues to devote much of its research and development efforts toward energy efficient innovations, such as direct gasoline injection, diesel injection, continuously variable transmission, dishwasher and washing machine technologies.
Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline and diesel injection, airbag components, ABS and conventional braking systems, telematics, as well as small motors, electrical and electronic equipment.
