Suzuki Posts Sales Gain in April; Flagship XL-7 SUV is on the Rise; Sales Build for the New Aerio

BREA, Calif., May 1 -- Suzuki's flagship, the XL-7 SUV, posted a 64-percent increase over April 2001 sales. The XL-7 notched 2,628 sales, boosting the Suzuki product line to 5,996 sales for the month -- a full one percentage point over last month.

"Sales showed an improvement in April," said Gary Anderson, vice president of sales. "It's apparent that strong XL-7 sales contribute to this sales increase. Awareness is also building for the Aerio and Aerio SX." In its first full month of sales, the new Suzuki Aerio posted 964 sales for April.
