GIANT AMERICAN FLAG AT HOME AT SPEEDWAY

The giant 20 by 30 foot which was presented on opening night at Irwindale Speedway in honor of the victims and heros of 9/11 is now in it's permanent home on the north side of the elevator tower at Irwindale Speedway.  Fans will see the flag mounted on the building for the first time as they arrive for the races on Saturday night.

The flag one of the largest in the San Gabriel Valley.

Mounted 65 feet up on the 90 foot tower, the flag will be display for the rest of the competition year at the Speedway.  

"We're very pleased with the way this flag looks on our most prominent building," said Robert DeFazio the track's General Manager.  "It's even more beautiful than we thought it would be."
