Hyundai Continues Record Sales Pace; April Sales Set Another New Record

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 1 -- Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 30,972 vehicles for the month of April, setting another new sales record for the month. "Hyundai sales were up nearly 19 percent over last April," said Robert Cosmai, vice-president of sales for Hyundai Motor America. "This marks our 15th consecutive month of record-setting sales. Hyundai has tremendous momentum going into the strong spring/summer sales period and we expect these strong sales to continue. April sales were driven by the mid-size Sonata and our Santa Fe sport utility vehicle which nearly doubled sales over the previous year," he added.

"Our customers now perceive Hyundai products as having high quality, great styling and tremendous value. And all of this is backed by America's Best Warranty," Cosmai said.
