Warn Industries Introduces 1700- and 4700-Pound Capacity Winches

    CLACKAMAS, Ore.--May 1, 2002--Targeted at consumers who need powerful tools to help them in their work, Warn Industries announced today the release of WARN(R) Works(TM), the company's new line of utility winches, with the line's first two winches.
    WARN Works(TM) 1700 and WARN Works(TM) 4700 will help users pull, haul and drag just about anything, anywhere.

    Over time, tools have developed a recognizable language with robust rounded edges, rubberized touch points and bold color schemes. WARN Works(TM) continues this tradition and adds distinctive orange and grey colors with key "touch zones" to help users operate the product.
    The WARN Works(TM) 1700 patent-pending design boasts a permanent magnet, 1.9hp motor and an all-metal gear housing and gear train. Its easy-to-use, heavy-duty rotary control switch for power-in or power-out can be mounted on the motor or remotely. Also, the winch's multi-directional clutch has a lever-actuated spring with a cam-over pin that is simple to engage from any angle while its brake has a self-locking gear train that holds full-rated load. For tight spaces or ease of use, the wire rope can be reattached to set the motor operation on the right or left side.
    The WARN Works(TM) 4700 uses a 3-stage planetary gear train with its permanent magnet, 1.9hp motor. Its separate brake system is mechanical and dynamic and will hold a full rated load. The 12', all-weather remote control plugs into an industrial contactor control pack. The winch also comes with a hawse fairlead.
