'Tonight Show' Writers Will Judge
A nationwide search for the most humorous vanity
license plate is being conducted by Eagle One, a
leading marketer of premium automotive appearance
care products. The contest coincides with the 65th
anniversary of personalized license plates.
The grand-prize winner, who will be selected by writers
for "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," will be awarded
$5,000. Eagle One will also award a winner in each state
represented $100 and an assortment of its waxes, polishes
and cleaners.
Entries will be accepted online at www.eagleone.com from
May 1 through June 30, 2002. Winners will be notified by
August 16, 2002.
The first personalized license plates appeared in Connecticut
in 1937.
