Christopher Schreiner, a project engineer for OnStar, will discuss the latest in vehicle safety technology development from OnStar. OnStar is an in-vehicle safety, security and information service that is completely integrated into the vehicle. Schreiner will also present General Motors' "SenseAble driving" campaign, a three-year, $10 million education effort aimed at raising the public's awareness of driver distractions.
Since he began at OnStar in May 2001, Schreiner has been responsible for leading research on driver workload issues, evaluating the usability of OnStar interfaces and assisting in defining and developing future technologies related to the user interface.
