ArvinMeritor Honored for Environmental Excellence
<p>WEIRTON, W.Va., April 25 ArvinMeritor, Inc. announced today that its Roll Coater plant in Weirton, W. Va., has received the State Environmental Excellence Award for outstanding performance. The award was presented at the third annual Division of Environmental Protection (DEP) Awards ceremony in Charleston. West Virginia state officials Governor Bob Wise, Environmental Cabinet Secretary Mike Callaghan and Assistant DEP Secretary Randy Hauffman were presenters at the ceremony for environmental excellence,'' said Juan De La Riva, senior vice president, Corporate Development & Strategy, Engineering and Procurement, who also leads the Roll Coater business. ``We are proud of our company's environmental focus and of being a neighbor of choice in each of our plant communities.''<p>The Weirton facility was recognized in the category of Large Quantity Generators for exemplary environmental performance, a compliance record with no outstanding violations and a record of cooperation with regulatory authorities.
