Requisite's eMerge Catalog Content Management Tools Adopted by Covisint

    WESTMINSTER, Colo.--April 25, 2002--

Global Automotive Exchange to Achieve Significant Time and Cost Savings with Thousands of Suppliers Using eMerge(TM) Enterprise Solution

Requisite Technology, Inc. today announced a strategic alliance with Covisint, the e-business exchange for the automotive industry, integrating Requisite's eMerge content management system into the exchange to drive supplier on-boarding into buy side e-procurement systems. Covisint's transition to eMerge allows suppliers the flexibility to publish catalog data to multiple standards, platforms and classification structures based on buyers' needs, thus enhancing efficiency, productivity and cost savings. The implementation of the new eMerge system will help Covisint reach its business goals by driving efficiency through e-procurement and supplier enablement.
"Requisite's eMerge system offered us the greatest scalability and flexibility to provide catalog content in any classification or format required. This benefit will aid suppliers to get on board quickly and self-sufficiently while driving down costs of doing business," said Greg Wong, catalog product specialist at Covisint.
Covisint selected Requisite because it demonstrated value and market leadership with a proven track record enabling successful trading exchanges such as MarketMile, Pantellos and Quadrem. Requisite offered a broad range of e-procurement tools and services including localization capabilities that will empower thousands of global suppliers to easily self-author and upload catalog content. eMerge allows suppliers to maintain control of their catalog content while enabling buyers to drive efficiency and speed to market.
Albert Pang, eCommerce applications research manager at IDC said, "Adopting Requisite's eMerge system is a step in the right direction to entice suppliers. The solution offers suppliers the necessary tools to do business with Covisint's buyers."
"We are very pleased to be working with an innovative technology leader like Covisint," said Bob King, chairman and CEO of Requisite Technology. "Leading exchanges like Covisint are an important piece of the e-business ecosystem as they offer buyers and suppliers the chance to collaborate, increase efficiencies, and enhance their relationships, all resulting in better business opportunities."
Covisint expects that eMerge will be fully operational and supporting three million SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) in the marketplace by the second quarter of 2002. Covisint plans to catalog six million SKUs by the end of the year.
