Woodside Gathers Up The Reins For Stockton 99 Southwest Series Event

Top Points Contender Intent on Chasing the Championship

April 25, 2002 (Saugus, Calif.) - Top NASCAR Touring points contender and
championship driver Sean Woodside announces today that he will compete in
this Saturday's Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring event, the
Stockton 125 at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway.

The announcement comes just ten days after Woodside lost his ride as a
result of the shutdown of Valencia, Calif.-based Team Walker Motorsports.

Woodside, who is currently third in the Southwest Series and second in the
NASCAR Winston West Series points, was forced to make some quick decisions,
and has since been grappling with the task of pulling the necessary
resources together for this weekend's event.

"My goal is to continue chasing the points in the Southwest Series,"
Woodside commented. "I'm going to take the remainder of this season
race-by-race, and I will be looking for other opportunities, sponsors,
anything and everything that let allow me to keep up with the schedule. I
don't want to lose the momentum that we had built to this point in the
season."

Woodside will be bringing with him this weekend several of the same
crewmembers that helped him win the April 6th Southwest Series event at Mesa
Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif.

"I am grateful for the way everyone has pulled together to help get me to
the Stockton race," Woodside continued. "It's been amazing. The crew said
they were game, and the help with parts, services and other costs is just
immensely appreciated."
