Montgomery Optimistic After Kentucky Test

 Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky  (April 23, 2002) - ARCA RE/MAX Series driver, Chase Montgomery was pleased with his times during the open test day at the Kentucky Speedway.

"Today went really well," Montgomery said. "We are going to go back to the shop and do a little work on the car.  We'll come back ready for the race."

Last season, Montgomery started on the outside of Row 1 and turned in a fifth place finish at the 1.5-mile tri-oval.

Eighteen-year-old Montgomery currently sits eighth in the overall points standing after the first three events. He is second in the rookie of the year standings, only eight points behind the leader. 

Montgomery will be competing in the Kentukiana Ford Dealers 200 will begin at 1:00 p.m. (ET) on Sunday April 28.  Live telecast can be seen on Speed Channel from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. ET.
