Tampa Law Firm to Lease Top Floors of First Union Center

    SAN ANTONIO--April 23, 2002--USAA Realty Company has leased the two top floors of the First Union Center in downtown Tampa to Bavol Bush & Sisco, P.A., a Tampa-based law firm.
    The lease for 23,300 square feet of space is for the 21st and 22nd floors and commences May 1, said Stevens Tombrink, leasing director for USAA Realty. The building is at 100 S. Ashley Drive. Tombrink represents the landlord, Tampa Equities REIT I. Ted DeLaVergne of DeLaVergne & Company represented Bavol Bush & Sisco, P.A.
    First Union Center is a 22-story, class A building providing 388,000 square feet of space in addition to an adjacent parking garage with 610 covered spaces. Easily recognizable by its rose color and stepped architecture, the building is a landmark in the downtown Tampa market and is within walking distance of the Tampa Convention Center, dining, hotels and retail shopping. The landmark building also is near other downtown sites, including the Ice Palace, the University of Tampa, Tampa General Hospital and Ybor City.
