ADP Dealer Services Teams With Cisco Systems to Provide Greater Productivity and Security Network Services
CHICAGO--April 23, 2002--The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. today announces the signing of a marketing alliance agreement to expand its relationship with Cisco Systems, Inc. Under the agreement ADP(R) will expand its networking programs to design, install and support a wide range of Cisco supplied productivity and security solutions designed for the special needs of car and truck dealers. ADP is currently the largest supplier of Cisco products to automobile retailers with over 5,000 networks implemented within the North American automotive & heavy truck retail communities.
Under terms of this agreement ADP and Cisco will jointly develop a series of programs that include business development, application service provider (ASP) offerings, professional services and world-class customer support initiatives. These solutions will expand ADP's broad network solutions set by providing jointly developed hosting facilities, remote network management services, cutting edge onsite network infrastructure and automotive specific OEM connectivity solutions. The network infrastructure will include selections of the following Cisco technologies: Firewall and VPN products, Access Routers, Switches, Aironet Wireless LAN products, IP Telephony Integrated Communications and Unified Messaging Platforms, and other Cisco products and services that further enhance ADP's system design, installation, configuration and management capabilities. These programs will be part of ADP's Technology Leadership solution.
"We are extremely pleased to sign this agreement that builds upon the successful relationship with Cisco Systems. ADP is a single source provider to the automotive retail marketplace that can maintain the integrity of every single aspect of our customer's network. With Cisco, we've partnered with a network and technology provider that allows ADP to give dealerships the reliable and comprehensive system our customers need to grow their revenue and profits," states Mike Martone, president of ADP Dealer Services.
In 1997, ADP began a relationship with Cisco that helped the company migrate from a legacy system to a Cisco solution that strongly enhanced its network offerings. ADP has uniquely skilled networking professionals dedicated to integrating Cisco powered networks. ADP has rapidly advanced to its position as the top Cisco integrator for automotive dealers. With the combination of Cisco tools combined with ADP's network support staff, ADP provides the most comprehensive networking solution in the industry.
"We have been providing network support products to ADP Dealer Services for over four years, so we are delighted that they have selected Cisco to be the primary provider of their network hardware solutions. We look forward to working closely with ADP to provide the tools to support their goal of delivering leading technology solutions to their customers," says Ron Willis, vice president of worldwide commercial marketing for Cisco Systems.
ADP also provides an unmatched level of service in support of their customer's networks. In addition to the state-of-the-art, 24-hour call service centers located throughout Canada and the United States, ADP works closely with Cisco to certify the automotive technology solutions that work the first time in the retailer's network. ADP provides a test and duplication mechanism in which technical troubleshooting is accomplished without having to work on the actual customer network.
"The world-class combination of ADP know-how and Cisco products is unmatched in the automotive industry. Our combined breadth of technical expertise offers the best possible solution. With our ability to duplicate network systems, we can work on improvements and problem solving without having to work on the customer system.
