ZETEC CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS CONTINUE PREPARATIONS AT MID-OHIO

ST. PETERSBURG, FLD. (April 22, 2001) —The Formula Ford 2000 Zetec
Championship teams and drivers continue preparations for the upcoming rounds
in the championship this week, with series testing at the Mid-Ohio Sports
Car Course, April 24-25, 2002.

A number of regular series competitors, as well as newcomers to the Zetec
Championship, are expected to take part in the two-day test.

Run on the technically challenging 2.25-mile, 13-turn road course, the test
will allow teams work on various road course setups. This is particularly
important, with three rounds of the 2002 Zetec Championship being run at
Mid-Ohio and the next two rounds in the championship taking place on the
demanding Mosport International Raceway road course. With two full days of
testing on tap, drivers will get a vast amount of seat time, which is a key
component to the training the drivers receive in the Zetec Championship. In
addition, teams and drivers will get the opportunity to try out the new A24
Avon Tyres racing slick. The new tire will become the mandatory spec tire
for all road course events, beginning at Round Eight at Mid-Ohio, June 29,
2002.

"This two-day test is a way for the teams and drivers to further build that
all-important relationship," said Bryan Sellers, the series points leader
after the opening two rounds. "The team is getting a better understanding of
how I like the car and I'm continuing to learn how to communicate with my
engineer and mechanic. I know the team have a bunch things they want to try
on the car before Mosport and I'm sure all the other teams will be doing the
same thing. After this test I fully expect the race at Mosport to be a real
battle."

The 2002 Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship continues with Rounds Three
and Four at Mosport International Raceway, May 18-19, as part of the
Victoria Day Trans-Am Weekend.
