TRW Honored With Ford's 2001 World Excellence Award

LIVONIA, Mich., April 22 TRW Automotive has received Ford Motor Company's Recognition of Achievement World Excellence Award, recognizing the company as one of its top suppliers in the world for 2001 performance. This award marks the second consecutive year that TRW has received this award.

TRW Automotive was honored with the Recognition of Achievement for Warranty Reduction achievement. Warranty Reduction requires the supplier to be actively involved in Ford's warranty sharing program. The Recognition of Achievement is given to suppliers that impact customer satisfaction by leading Ford's key initiatives: Environmental Leadership, High Mileage Improvement, Consumer Driven 6-Sigma and Warranty Reduction.

Ford's World Excellence Award provides annual recognition based on quality, cost and delivery metrics jointly developed by Ford and its suppliers. Forty-two suppliers from 15 countries won awards in various categories.
