Superior Industries International Honored With Ford's 2001 World Excellence Award

    VAN NUYS, Calif.--April 22, 2002--Superior Industries International, Inc. received Ford Motor Company's Silver World Excellence Award, recognizing the company as one of its top suppliers in the world for 2001 performance. The Silver Award is given to the business units of suppliers that stand out in quality and delivery or quality and cost; 21 suppliers won the Silver Award.
    The World Excellence Award provides annual recognition based on quality, cost and delivery metrics jointly developed by Ford and its suppliers. Forty-two suppliers from 15 countries won awards in various categories.
    Carlos Mazzorin, Ford Motor Company's group vice president of Asia Pacific Operations, South American Operations and Global Purchasing, said, "Congratulations to Superior Industries.
