Felipe Giaffone and the #21 Hollywood/Mo Nunn Racing Chevrolet G-Force will
start Sunday's Firestone Indy 225 at Nazareth Speedway on the inside of the
third row.

Giaffone, the 2001 Indy Racing League Rookie of the Year, had the
fifth-fastest qualifying time today around the mile oval at 19.6556 seconds
(171.249 mph).  It was almost a half-second faster than his best practice
time on Friday, but a tenth slower than his best lap during Saturday-morning
practice, in which he wound up fourth in the order.  All the top qualifiers
ran slightly slower during the mid-day qualifying session.  The qualifying
effort was Giaffone's best since he was fourth on the grid at Phoenix last
month.

Gil de Ferran, last year's race winner here when it was a CART FedEx
Championship Series race, will start from the pole after a fast qualifying
lap of 19.4817 seconds (172.778 mph).  His teammate, Helio Castroneves, will
start alongside him on the front row after a lap of 19.5032 seconds (172.587
mph).  Jaques Lazier was third in 19.5724 seconds (171.977 mph), followed by
rookie Tomas Scheckter in fourth at 19.6372 (171.409 mph).

Race time for Sunday's 225-lap event is 1 p.m. EDT and it will be aired live
on ABC-TV and the IMS Radio Network.  Pre-race programming includes "Indy
Racing 2Day" Sunday at 12 noon EDT on ESPN2.

and we keep moving a little bit. We should be good for the race. We have a
lot of downforce in the car, so tomorrow we will have our work cut out for
us."
