SILVERSTONE TEST -- 16/17/18 April 2002

Summary:
The BMW WilliamsF1 Team concluded a three day test at the Silverstone
Circuit today, conducted by Ralf Schumacher and test team drivers Marc GenÈ
and Antonio Pizzonia, using two 2002 season FW24 chassis.

On the third and final day of the test, Ralf Schumacher set the benchmark
time of 1:22.151 ahead of ten other drivers, providing plenty of
encouragement after a test that had been punctuated by poor weather and
occasional technical problems.

Sam Michael (Chief Operations Engineer WilliamsF1):
"A three day test in which we completed some good tyre work in preparation
for the next Grand Prix at Barcelona. BMW made some good advances with
engine developments, even though today's dry running was interrupted by
rain. Ralf also spent some time on different suspension components which
could be of use in the forthcoming races."

Mario Theissen (BMW Motorsport Director):
"The three day test in Silverstone have been successful from a BMW
perspective. We did a lot of mileage and have been fast. Apart from
supporting the set-up work and tyre testing for Barcelona, we also worked
on traction control and made some start simulations in order to optimise
our launch systems."
