National Safety Council Congress & Expo invitation

April 17, 2002

Dear Editor / Media Contact:

The National Safety Council will host its 90th annual Congress & Expo in San Diego, California, at the San Diego Convention Center, from October 4-11, 2002. The Congress & Expo is a three-fold event combining the annual meeting of the Council, 200 educational sessions and the Expo. Safety professionals from around the nation and the world come to the Congress & Expo to preview products and learn the latest about safety and health issues.

If you are planning a story on occupational hazards, environmental health issues, the latest on ergonomics in the workplace or any other safety- and health-related issue, the NSC*s Congress & Expo can provide pertinent data and interesting new solutions and theories for reducing injuries.

At our opening session, National Safety Council President Alan C. McMillan will spell out his vision for the Council. Attendees will be among the first to hear his important and compelling message *Prepare Today for a Safer Tomorrow*, which sets the agenda for safety in America. Mexico*s dynamic President Vicente Fox has been invited to be the keynote speaker during Opening Session.

For a complete overview, visit the Congress & Expo website at <http://www.appcluster05.com/nsc2002splash.cfm>.

As most of you know, last year*s Congress & Expo, held in Atlanta in late September, despite the events of September 11, was a great success, attended by nearly 100 media and more than 16,000 safety and health professionals.

To receive a complimentary media registration form, please send a reply with *Complementary Media Registration* in the subject line and your name and mailing address in the body of the email. When you receive the form, please complete it and return it to the address provided on the form. I hope to see you in San Diego. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.

Have a safe day!
Don't forget, June is National Safety Month
