FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PHOENIX, Ariz. (April 16, 2002) - Rolex Sports Car Series driver Darren Law likes when the Phoenix event rolls around each year on the Grand American Road Racing schedule.

Not only is Law a Phoenix resident and only a 30-minute drive from the track, but he has had great success at Phoenix International Raceway. He won the GT class in 2000 and turned in a second place finish in the class last season.

"I'm looking forward to racing in my hometown," Law said. "We've raced here several times and know the track very well."

This season Law has moved from a Porsche in the GT (Grand Touring) class to the faster, open cockpit SRP II (Sport Racer Prototype II) class.

Law and the G&W Motorsports team have had two podium finishes thus far this season. After making some improvements to the #07 Momentum Motorcars/G&W Motorsports Picchio sponsored by USI Insurance and Valley Group, the team is hoping for their first victory in 2002.

"We have completed another segment of our developmental improvements to the car," Law said. "I think we really have a shot at winning the race on Saturday."

In addition to competing in the Rolex race this Saturday, Law will also be competing in the Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series race. Law will co-pilot the #81 Jennifer Fund/G&W Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup Car along with fellow G&W Motorsports driver Steve Marshall.

The Grand-Am Cup race will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday April 20, with the UnitedAuto 200 starting later in the evening at 7:00 p.m.
