Alpha Technologies Renews 3-Year Supply Agreement With Key Customer

    LOS ANGELES--April 16, 2002--Alpha Technologies Group, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a new OEM supply agreement with Harman International , a leading manufacturer of high-quality audio products and electronic systems for the consumer and professional markets. Under the contract, Alpha will be the sole source supplier of aluminum heat sinks for a variety of Harman International's automotive products. The contract, which extends through June 2004, has the potential to be the largest in Alpha's history. For Alpha's fiscal year ended October 28, 2001, the Company had sales to Harman totaling $6.2 million.
    Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Lawrence Butler said, "We are pleased by this vote of confidence from Harman International, which has long been one of our most important customers. We look forward to continuing to supply Harman with the highest quality thermal management products for automotive amplifier and other applications, and to expanding our business partnership with this key customer."
