Van Tuyl Automotive Group Selects ADP Dealer Services as Its Networking Services Provider

    CHICAGO--April 15, 2002--

ADP(R) will provide advanced network design, hardware and maintenance solutions for the $5.6 Billion Automotive Retailer

The Dealer Services Group Of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. today announces an agreement with Kansas City-based Van Tuyl Automotive Group to provide networking hardware, design, installation, monitoring, and maintenance solutions. Part of this agreement includes the installation of hardware delivered by Cisco Systems, Inc., the premier provider of end-to-end networking products available in the marketplace. ADP has uniquely skilled networking professionals dedicated to integrating Cisco powered networks and has rapidly advanced to its position as the top Cisco integrator for automotive dealers.
"We felt that outsourcing our information technology functions was more economical for our business. With their experience in supplying dealer management systems, combined with their full array of hardware and systems support, ADP was the best choice to install and maintain a full range of network functions for our dealerships. We wanted a single number to call regardless of carrier, hardware, or system provider. ADP delivered that single source," says Dan Mattox, chief information officer of Van Tuyl Automotive.
"ADP provides the most extensive network solution available in the automotive retail market today. Whether it be pre-sales design, integration with manufacturing applications, or ongoing consulting after the initial installation, ADP has the products and services to deliver the right answers to meet our customers information technology needs," said Mark Hnilicka, vice president of sales operations, for ADP Dealer Services strategic accounts.
Another aspect of this agreement includes the delivery of a suite of products that will strongly enhance Van Tuyl's ability to proactively manage their IT infrastructure. ADP's state-of-the-art management tools, such as EnterpriseObserver(SM) can improve network health, provide oversight of Internet-based activities, increase effectiveness of e-mail, and deliver informative network reporting which will maximize productivity of dealership employees.
ADP also provides an unmatched level of service in support of their customer's networks. In addition to 24-hour call service centers located throughout Canada and the United States, ADP provides a test and duplication mechanism in which technical troubleshooting is accomplished without having to work on the actual customer network.
"The world-class combination of Cisco products and ADP know-how is unmatched anywhere in the automotive industry. I am very pleased with the opportunity to provide these solutions to Van Tuyl Automotive. We look forward to helping Van Tuyl Automotive build a flexible IT infrastructure that allows them to take advantage of new and existing technologies as they continue to expand and build their business going forward," says Joe Bihner, ADP Dealer Services vice president of network solutions.
"One of the driving factors for choosing ADP is that they can provide network solutions which enhance rather than disrupt dealership activities. They provided us with a comfort level unmatched by any other network provider," adds Mattox.
