MPM Subsidiary Receives Order From Major US Auto Manufacturer

PARSIPPANY, N.J.--April 11, 2002--MPM Technologies, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, Huntington Environmental Systems (HES), Inc., has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $1 million, for the supply, installation, and start-up of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) system from Giffin International Corporation for a US Fortune 10 automobile manufacturer.
The RTO system will be installed for the removal of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions from an automotive paint shop in order to comply with EPA standards. HES will complete the design, manufacture, installation and start-up in approximately six months.
Frank E. Hsu, COO of Huntington Environmental Systems, stated, "This is the second significant order received by Huntington in less than one month. It clearly illustrates the positive impact that the new HES management team is having on the company's dramatic turnaround. HES is now ideally positioned in the marketplace to be a top tier provider of VOC systems to the automotive industry. And our new found momentum will continue to win over new clients as well as existing clients in the areas of VOC and NOx compliance, by the virtue of our proven excellence in technology and commitment to customer satisfaction."
