STERLING MARLIN
COORS LIGHT TEAM FACTS

 
*         Martinsville:  In 32 career starts at Martinsville Speedway,
Marlin has scored three top-5 and 10 top-10 finishes.  He has no wins and no
poles at the track.  His best start is second position (4/24/94); his best
finish is second place (4/24/88 and 4/26/92).  Marlin has finished in the
top-10 in his last three races at Martinsville.
*         Car: The Coors Light team will take car #105 to Martinsville.  Car
#105 was Sterling's favorite during the first half of 2001.  Marlin's second
place finish at New Hampshire at the end of the 2001 season was the last
time #105 raced.
*         Championship: Marlin remains first in championship points for the
sixth straight race (Rockingham to Texas).  He is the only driver to rank in
the top-10 in NASCAR Winston Cup championship points since the 2001 Daytona
500.
*         Consistent: Marlin is the only driver to capture six top-10
finishes in the first seven races in 2002.  Marlin has finished in the
top-10 in all but one of the races this season including non-points races.
His lowest finish was 19th at Bristol.
