JIMMIE JOHNSON TO DISCUSS 2002 SEASON, 
OUTLOOK FOR VIRGINIA 500

Jimmie Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse
Chevrolet, comes to Martinsville and this weekend's Virginia 500 for the
first time as a NASCAR Winston Cup driver.  Johnson kicked off his 2002
Raybestos Rookie of the Year campaign in stellar fashion, becoming only the
third rookie to win the pole for the Daytona 500.  He comes to Martinsville
on the heels of his fifth consecutive top-10 finish (Las Vegas - 6th,
Atlanta - 3rd, Darlington - 6th, Bristol - 7th and Texas - 6th).  He will be
available for a media teleconference to discuss his rookie season and his
outlook for the 2002 Virginia 500.

For the 2002 season, Johnson is currently 3rd in points and 1st in the
