R. L. POLK & CO. APPOINTS JACK S. SMITH

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. R. L. Polk & Co. has named Jack S. Smith the new marketing director for Polk North America. Smith will assist sales teams and account managers with all of their marketing activities. He will report directly to Joseph Walker, president of Polk North America.

"Jack understands how to market products and services to the automotive community," Walker said. "He is a proven leader and a skilled communicator. His guidance will be an invaluable asset to our marketing team."

Most recently, Smith was an account director at Carlson Marketing Group, Inc. As a leader on the Saturn Automotive account, he was responsible for consumer promotions and events, brand partnerships and field marketing support. Smith also played a key role in the planning and repositioning process for new vehicle launches.

Smith has also held positions at Campbell-Ewald Advertising, Inc., Handley & Miller Advertising, Inc., Little Caesar's Enterprises, Inc. and Ziebart International Corporation, Inc.
