Campbell crashes hard in Terrible's Town 250

Honda Racing's Johnny Campbell crashed hard at the 44 mile point of
the race and was knocked unconscious. The Red Rider was airlifted to
University Medical Center in Las Vegas Nevada and was diagnosed with a
broken right clavicle, scapula, and had compression fractures of the T-7
and T-8 vertebra. Campbell is expected to be released sometime today.
Honda-supported Andy Grider stayed with Campbell through the airlifting
procedure and then returned to race action. Grider and teammate Danny
Cooper still managed to finish 32nd overall.
Honda Resource Center technician Chris Blaze, impressed the fans and the
competition with a solid 5th place overall. The young privateer soloed the
entire race and would go on to win the Ironman award.
