New Alpine Monitors, Changers and CD Receivers Begin Hitting Retail
TORRANCE, Calif., April 8 -- Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., the industry-leading manufacturer of high performance mobile electronics, announced today that it has begun shipping a range of 2002 mobile multimedia products, including a new widescreen, high resolution monitor, three new six-disc CD changers, one of which is capable of playing MP3 encoded CDs and several new XM-ready receivers. Each of the products have been designed to meet the needs of savvy car enthusiasts who demand high quality components that can be seamlessly integrated to create a premium mobile multimedia system.
Mobile Multimedia Monitors:
Alpine has begun shipping its new 5.8`` TME-M580 (SRI $400) stand-alone monitor and will ship its 6.5'' TME-M760 (SRI $700) in May. Both are stand-alone monitors designed to deliver vivid picture quality and wide-angle viewing under the dynamic lighting conditions of the mobile environment. The TME-M760 and TME-M580 feature a slim new design and easy-to-use buttons on the front panel, as well as a dedicated navigation input for use with Alpine's PowerNAV(TM) system. They also feature Alpine's own Source Selection Setup Memory, which allows the monitors' visual and audio settings to be specified and stored for maximum picture quality for video games, DVD/VHS movies or other input sources.
CD Changers:
Building on its leadership in the CD changer category, while simultaneously helping to lead the migration of MP3s from the PC to the car, Alpine has released its highly anticipated CHA-S634 (SRI $330), a 6-disc changer capable of playing standard CDs, CD-R/RW discs, as well as MP3 encoded CDs. Alpine is also shipping its CHM-S665RF (SRI $250) and CHM-S630 (SRI $250) M-Bus, 6-disc changers, which can playback standard CDs, as well as CD-R/RW discs. Built with renowned Alpine ruggedization features including anti-vibration mechanisms with silicon oil dampers, the new 2002 changers also offer personalized customization for the in-cabin space with adjustable mounting (0 degrees - 90 degrees) options. The CHM-S665RF and CHM-S630 changers feature a regulated 1 Bit DAC, and the CHM-S665RF also features a PLL synthesizer 12 station FM modulator.
Alpine's New CD Receivers:
Alpine's new CDA-7893 (SRI $380) and CDA-7892 (SRI $300) receivers are both XM Satellite Radio ready and feature Versatile-Link(TM) technology, ensuring seamless integration with a variety of multimedia components, such as video game systems, portable MP3 players, DVD players or TV tuners. These receivers also feature Alpine's Bass Engine(TM) Plus sound tuning technology, as well as its proprietary MediaXpander(TM), a sound correction technology that restores the quality lost in recording/transmission of media playback. Additionally, Alpine has begun shipping the CDE-7872 (SRI $200) and CDE-7870 (SRI $180) CD receivers, featuring an AM/FM radio, 45Wx4 amplifier, Bass Engine technology and one pre-out.
