ClearCross Announces International Trade Management Web Service Availability on the Oracle E-Business Suite

RESTON, Va.--April 8, 2002--ClearCross announces the release of an export compliance Web service to enable international trade management by leveraging the Oracle E-Business Suite.
Based on ClearCross Export Compliance Solution (ECS), working with the fulfillment capabilities of the Oracle E-Business Suite, the combined technology now provides international trade management functions to remove the regulatory constraints of cross border shipping, while requiring no additional software to be installed. The ClearCross ECS and the Oracle E-Business Suite solution provides real-time Internet delivery of intelligent global trade content based on a single global data model, configurable workflows and pre-built adapter connectivity. The end result is rapid time to benefit for joint Oracle and ClearCross customers. The openness of the Oracle E-Business Suite allows the ECS, the Restricted Party screening service, to reduce time and cost from customers' international shipments while assuring global distribution adheres to changing complex government regulations.
"The availability of embedded connectivity to ClearCross' regulatory compliance module with the Oracle E-Business Suite to provide global export control screening could not have come at a more important time for our customers and country's Homeland Security, " said Don Klaiss, senior vice president, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Applications at Oracle. "We are very pleased to announce our relationship with ClearCross and the first phase of Oracle's international trade management Web service."
Oracle's International Trade Management Adapter and the ClearCross Export Compliance Solution have processed millions of Oracle11i transactions, proving its reliability and high volume capabilities.
"Global businesses must ensure they meet worldwide customer demand for products and services in an efficient manner to effectively execute a global strategy. Through close collaboration and integration between the Oracle E-Business Suite and ClearCross' trade compliance solutions, shippers can immediately take advantage of content rich international trade functionality from within the E-Business Suite's single unified global data model and configurable workflows.
